Blues music to ease your soul!

Welcome To The Brit Brothers

The Brit Brothers are a duo from England that love to play the blues. Their set list is comprised of songs by legendary blues artists such as: Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Bo Diddley, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Willie Dixon, Robben Ford, Jimmy Reed, BB King, Sonny Boy Williamson to name but a few. Of course the Brit Brothers also play their original material too.

The Brit Brothers

Jamie Henry and Peter Bos, two ex-pats, got together in February 2017 for an informal blues jam. It didn’t take long for them to realize that Jamie’s guitar work and Peter’s vocals and harmonica blended well together, and that they also shared a common interest in the kind of music they wanted to play. Thanks to the wonders of the internet and modern technology, they were able to synthesize bass and drums backing tracks, and so get the sound of a full blues band. After a well-received initial appearance at an open mic night at the Bunkhouse in Bulls Gap in March, but still without a band name, a mutual friend suggested the name The Brit Brothers, which stuck. Both Jamie and Peter are self-employed and have busy schedules, and don’t intend to play every night, but they enjoy performing in front of people who have the same taste in music and look forward to continuing to do so.

After a year or so of lessons, he confessed to his guitar teacher that although he loved playing the guitar, he had no interest in a black dots on white pieces of paper. His guitar teacher at the time was very understanding, and simply showed him a few blues scales and …..
